ICE is using family separation as a weapon at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, threatening parents with losing their children to coerce them into giving up their legal claims.

In April 2026, our ICE Flight Monitor tracked 245 removal flights, a monthly record since independent flight tracking began in 2020.⁠

These ICE flights represent a system operating in darkness. People are disappearing, deported to countries where they face persecution, or sent to places they’ve never lived—all without transparency or due process.⁠

At the Immigration Processing Center, parents are subjected to routine verbal abuse and intimidation by ICE agents and facility staff – often in front of their children, and sometimes directed at the children themselves.

Our report with documents a pervasive culture of hostility at Dilley that compounds the trauma of detention. We must shut Dilley down and permanently end family detention.
