Thanks to the Williams family for their generous donation to fund the beautiful landscaping project at the Lewiston Museum. This treasure at 469 Plain Street in the Village of Lewiston is a must visit. Thanks also go out to the Lewiston Garden Club, who maintains the garden beds at the museum as well as other locations throughout the Village.

Happy to present Maria Fortuna Dean. Executive Director of the Lewiston Council on the Arts with a grant from the Legislature's Community Partnership Grant Fund Program. This organization is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community by nurturing a thriving environment for the arts and cultural activities, much like the 2024 Lewiston Mural Project at Academy Park. A beautiful four-wall mural designed and painted by Maureen Kellick, with metal work by Dan Buttery featuring the splendor of our Niagara River Greenway. Wanted to present Maria the check in front of this beautiful mural which was funded by the Greenway Commission. If you haven't seen it, stop by and enjoy!

Enjoyed a Thursday evening with the Lewiston Community Lions Club at Bella Rose Vineyard and Winery. Happy to join Legislator Irene Myers to present a $2,000 grant from the Niagara County Legislature's Community Partnership Grant Fund Program. The Lions serve the communities of Lewiston, Ransomville, and Niagara Falls through impactful service projects that enhance the well-being in those communities in the areas of environmental stewardship, hunger relief and vision care. Nice to meet the Lions District Governor Paul Smith and his wife, PDG Donna Smith. Congrats to Kelly Zimmerman for receiving the Robert Uplinger Award for her yearly dedication to the International Peace Poster Contest. Thank you Lions for all you do!

Thank you Wheatfield Republican Club for giving me the opportunity to join Assembly candidate Becky Wydysh and fellow Legislator Dave Godfrey to address the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Company men this evening. The men and women of this great fire house truly are the busiest fire company in Wheatfield, responding to over 1,400 calls to date in 2026! Thank you for all you do for our community!

It was my honor to join the officers and members of the Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Company at their Wet Down Ceremony to dedicate their newest firefighting apparatus. Congrats to UMT, and many thanks to all the men and women who selflessly give of their time and talents to keep our communities safe and to answer the call when needed!

Joined some of my colleagues on the Niagara County Legislature at the New York State Association of Counties Fall Conference in Syracuse. I am a voting member of NYSAC's Standing Committee on Agriculture, Economic Development & Rural Affairs, and we voted unanimously to approve a resolution endorsing the recommendations of NYSAC's Steering Committee on Energy Siting and Farmland Protection to protect our prime farmland, including restoring local home rule in the siting process. Enjoyed networking with legislators from across the state. Thank you Onondaga County for hosting a reception and dinner at Syracuse University 's Miron Victory Court Dome.
