New York State Officially Bans the Use of Elephants in Circuses ...๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
โ€‹In 2019, New York State officially banned the use of elephants in circuses and traveling shows. This historic decision followed global exposure of the extreme cruelty these majestic animals endure in the entertainment industry.
โ€‹For years, elephants were subjected to inhumane training methods using painful tools like "bullhooks." They were confined to cramped cages, chained in transport vehicles, and isolated from their natural herds, leading to severe physical and mental trauma.
โ€‹As a world leader, New Yorkโ€™s bold move sets a powerful precedent for other nations. This law serves as a vital reminder: "Animals are not objects for our entertainment, but living beings that deserve to be treated with dignity and respect."

Teeth & Tusks of Elephants ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒฟ
Elephant tusks are not rare โ€œprecious stonesโ€ they are simply dentine, the same material found in human teeth. Yet, this demand for ivory continues to drive the killing of thousands of elephants.
Elephants are born with temporary milk tusks, which fall out around age one. By 2โ€“3 years, permanent tusks begin to emerge and will grow continuously for life, at about 15โ€“18 cm per year. Nearly one-quarter of each tusk is embedded inside the skull, making it impossible to remove without causing fatal damage.
Tusks serve multiple purposes,
Digging for water and minerals
Defense and combat
Social display and dominance
Some elephants are naturally tuskless, and they survive just fine proving tusks are not essential for life.Like humans being left- or right-handed, elephants have a dominant tusk known as the โ€œmaster tusk.โ€
Records,Heaviest tusk: 117 kg/Longest tusk: 3.26 m
An elephantโ€™s lifespan is closely tied to its teeth. They develop six sets of massive molars (up to 30 cm long), which move forward as older ones wear down โ€” a natural conveyor system that sustains them throughout life.Ivory is just a tooth.
But to an elephant, it costs everything.
