MY HUSBAND AND BEST FRIEND WERE CHEATING IN AN ELEVATOR, UNAWARE I SAW THEM – MY SURPRISE REVENGE WAS GENIUS. My husband was going to have a corporate event reporting on the success of his team in one of the swankiest hotels in our city, complete with a grand event hall.
He was getting ready for this presentation for two weeks, always returning home late. On the day of the event, I was more anxious than he was.
I made sure his shirt and suit were perfectly ironed and even cooked his favorite carbonara pasta for dinner. I saw him off with a kiss, wishing him luck.
But an hour later, while tidying up, I noticed he had LEFT HIS LAPTOP at home. His presentation was on that laptop!
My heart sank. Not wanting his hard work to go to waste, I decided to take it to him at the hotel.
When I arrived, there was an eerie silence. Given the size of his company, I expected a bustling event, but the lobby was quiet.
I approached the receptionist and inquired about the corporate event. She looked puzzled and said there was no such event.
My confusion turned to suspicion, so I asked if there was a room reservation under my husband’s name. She checked and confirmed, giving me the room number.
Determined to uncover the truth, I headed upstairs. As I reached the floor, I heard giggles, whispers, and the unmistakable sound of kissing.
I peeked around the corner and saw my husband and my best friend, wrapped in each other’s arms, heading to the room. My heart shattered.
I quickly took a photo for evidence and hid, tears streaming down my face. This was the moment I decided they were going to pay.
So, I returned to the lobby, and with the receptionist's sympathetic help, we devised a plan. So, I ....👀⬇️ Full story in the first comment

"I married a café waitress just to push back against my controlling parents — but on our wedding night, she caught me off guard with a strange warning:
“Promise me you won’t scream when I show you something.”
My parents were extremely wealthy, the type who believed their money entitled them to dictate every part of my life — especially my choice of a wife.
When I turned thirty, they gave me a blunt ultimatum.
“If you’re not married by thirty-one,” my father said calmly over dinner, “you’re cut out of the will.”
For years, they set me up with the daughters of their affluent friends — flawless, polished women who always seemed more interested in my family’s wealth than in me. None of it ever felt real.
Then, just two months before my thirty-first birthday, I found myself sitting alone in a small downtown café. The waitress serving me stood out immediately. She was genuine, warm, and nothing like the women my parents kept trying to match me with.
That’s when an impulsive idea crossed my mind.
When she returned with my coffee, I asked softly, “Do you have a few minutes to talk later? I have… a rather unusual proposal.”
She smiled and said her break wouldn’t be for another two hours.
So I stayed.
Her name was Claire.
When her break finally came, we sat together on a park bench nearby. I told her everything — my parents’ pressure, the ultimatum, the ticking deadline.
Then I made her an offer.
A marriage — just on paper. One year of pretending for my parents, then a quiet divorce.
In return, I would pay her a significant amount of money.
Claire listened without interrupting and asked only two things.
“Will there be a contract?”
“Yes.”
“And can I tell my parents I’m actually getting married?”
“Of course.”
That very night, she sent me a message:
“I’m in.”
A month later, we were standing at the altar.
After the reception, I brought Claire home and showed her the guest room.
“I’ll stay in another room,” I said. “We’ll only act like a real couple when my parents are around.”
She nodded, then slowly reached into her purse.
“Promise you won’t scream when I show you this.”
A knot formed in my stomach. “What do you mean?”
Moments later, everything I thought I understood about this marriage — and about Claire — was completely turned upside down. Full story in 1st comment "
