Most Grateful for all our Reforestation volunteers.
They continue to remove invasives planting and making way for native species.
Devine Intervention- 6 volunteers-met at Carpenter Rec Area Tuesday, 10/14.
Judge Morris Estate group had 13 volunteers on Thursday, 10/15.
Wells Field had 3 volunteers on Sunday, 10/18.

Update: Creek Rd/PennDel Trail between Hopkins Rd and Chambers Rock Rd will now be CLOSED between the hours 6:00am-4:00p...

Update:
Creek Rd/PennDel Trail between Hopkins Rd and Chambers Rock Rd will now be CLOSED between the hours 6:00am-4:00pm until further notice.
It will be OPEN on weekends! The temporary pedestrian bridge is in place while the bridge is being replaced. It can only be used after 4:00pm M-F, and on weekends.
There is NO detour for this closure at this time.
The Connector Trail from Arc Corner Rd comes out on the section of Creek Trail/ PennDel Trail that is closed and should NOT be used as a detour at this time.
We understand that this is a very popular trail, and for this reason every effort is being made to have it opened as quickly as possible. In order to do that safely, we must ask that the public stay off this section during the construction hours. Thank you all for your cooperation and patience.

Most Grateful Everyday for our volunteers.
On Monday, September 28, park staff and our Friends group celebrated the many volunteers who help make White Clay Creek a gem of a park with a volunteer picnic at the Carpenter Recreation Area.
The catered buffet provided by the Friend’s of WCCSP , door prizes from DE State Parks and donated items, and an opportunity to connect with others who love this park made this a very special gathering.
These individuals ( and many more who were unable to attend)
contribute thousands of hours with our reforestation projects, Nature Center weekend staffing, program support, trail work, Friends committees and fund raising, and so much more.
We celebrate these dedicated community members who continue the legacy of this “People’s Park” with their time and hard work.

White Clay Creek State Park is home to some very special owls. Learn about these night hunters, then hike along one of our accessible trails to hear their calls. Pre-Registration is required, space is limited. Online registration ends 24 hours prior to the program. After that, please call 302-368-6900. $8 per person
