A historic day for Montgomery County! 🎉🍂

For the first time in 35 years, Montgomery County has opened a new historic site to the public!

Today, we celebrated the grand opening of Sunrise Mill in Upper Frederick Township, marking a new chapter for a property with more than 250 years of history.

From its beginnings as a working gristmill and sawmill to the groundbreaking medical innovations of Dr. Chevalier Jackson, Sunrise Mill tells the story of the people and industries that helped shape our region.

After years of restoration, this remarkable site is once again open for residents and visitors to explore!

🍂 Plan your visit this fall! Sunrise Mill is open for tours on Fridays and Saturdays. Come explore a piece of Montgomery County history!

A new twist on a neighborhood classic has arrived in Narberth Borough 🛍️

Commissioners Jamila H. Winder and Neil Makhija joined the Narberth community to celebrate the grand opening of Jeneral Store, a new neighborhood shop at 104 Forrest Avenue.

Narberth resident Jen Kurland founded the Jeneral Store Mainline to be a welcoming space where neighbors can find useful home goods, but also slow down, get creative, and connect with one another.

Small businesses like Jeneral Store Mainline are part of what makes Montgomery County's downtowns so special.

Congratulations to Jen on bringing her vision to life in Narberth! 🎉

Flu season is here, and now is a good time to make sure you’re up to date on your vaccines. 💉

Commissioner Jamila Winder and Commissioner Neil Makhija rolled up their sleeves and got their flu shots, and we’re encouraging residents to do the same.

Montgomery County’s Office of Public Health offers information and resources on flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other immunizations to help you protect yourself and your family this fall. Free vaccine clinics are also available throughout the County.

Check out upcoming clinics and learn more at montgomerycountypa.gov/immunizations.
