North Reading showed up for me, and I promise I’ll always show up for North Reading at the State House!

What an incredible night with a packed house of neighbors, friends, and supporters who are ready to turn the page and fight for our communities!

A huge thank you to Jen and TJ Leenders for opening their home and hosting such a fantastic house party!

That means fighting to lower costs, protect our schools, and make sure North Reading gets its fair share of resources from Beacon Hill.

We’re building something special, and we're not slowing down until November 3rd!

As a Lynnfield Pioneer, I have to admit, cheering for the North Reading Hornets felt a little unnatural. But I checked the rulebook, and apparently supporting the Hornets is okay with exceptions.

What a great night at the North Reading Hornets Hall of Fame, celebrating some incredible people who have made a lasting impact on the community!

Congratulations to all the inductees, and a special congratulations to Maureen Doherty on receiving the Community Service Award! As editor of the North Reading Transcript, Maureen works tirelessly to keep residents informed, tell the stories that matter, and recognize the people who make North Reading such a special community.

Nights like these remind us that strong communities are built by people who show up, give back, and dedicate themselves to making their hometowns better.

That's the same commitment I'll bring to the State House: showing up, working hard, and fighting for the people and communities I represent.

We may be Pioneers and Hornets on the field, but when it comes to our families and our future, we're all on the same team!

Every woman deserves the right to make her own healthcare decisions and access the lifesaving care she needs. Period.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it was great to join North Reading Volleyball and Lynnfield Field Hockey for their breast cancer awareness events!

These events remind us that early detection saves lives and that access to affordable, quality healthcare should never be out of reach.
Women’s health is not a political issue. It’s a matter of protecting lives, families, and fundamental rights.

As State Representative, I’ll fight to protect women’s healthcare rights, expand access to screenings and treatment, and make sure no woman has to choose between her health and her financial security.

Thank you to the athletes, coaches, and families for bringing our communities together for such an important cause!

What a great house party in Reading! Thank you to everyone who came out, shared their concerns, and showed their support.

This campaign is about showing up, listening, and delivering real results for our communities. From lowering costs to protecting our schools and fighting for our fair share at the State House, Reading deserves a representative who will always put our families first.

I'm ready to get to work for Reading!

Winter is coming, and families need relief NOW.

The most important thing we can do for working families right now is tackle the rising cost of heating their homes.

No family should have to choose between keeping the heat on, putting food on the table, or paying their bills.

We need immediate heating cost relief, greater accountability from utility companies, and long-term solutions that make energy more affordable.

Fighting for families means fighting to lower their bills. And that fight can't wait until winter.

I refuse to accept that our children may be the first generation to have fewer opportunities than their parents.

That's why I'm running for State Representative.

As a father, I want my daughter to have the opportunity to build a life right here in the community we love. But rising costs, soaring utility bills, and unaffordable housing are putting that dream out of reach for too many families.

I worked my way through law school on a paving crew, built a small business, and dedicated years to public service. I know the value of hard work, and I believe hard work should still be enough to build a good life.
Lower costs. Strong schools. Safe communities. A future our kids can afford.

I'm not running for the next election. I'm fighting for the next generation.

On November 3rd, I'm asking for your vote.

Lynnfield Selectperson Dick Dalton Endorses Joe Markey

To my Fellow Residents:

As someone who has served the Lynnfield community as a Select Board member for the past 11 years, I know well how important it is for our town to have effective representation in the state legislature. That’s why I’m endorsing Joe Markey.

I'm a Republican. I worked with Brad Jones and proudly supported him for years, so I don't cross party lines lightly. But Brad earned support from people of every party by putting the district first, and Joe will carry on that tradition.

Many of you may recall Joe’s tenure as our Town Meeting Moderator. Joe and I didn’t always agree. But every time we disagreed, we sat down and talked through it, and Joe always listened. That's rare in politics today, and it's exactly what we need on Beacon Hill.

During COVID Joe clearly demonstrated his leadership abilities. When our first responders needed protective equipment, Joe coordinated the donation of thousands of masks to keep them safe. He moved Town Meeting outside onto the high school football field, twice, so residents could safely vote on a debt exclusion for our schools. He didn't wait for someone else to solve the problem. He worked with me to solve it.

Joe grew up here, he's raising his family here, and he'll be an independent voice who answers to the residents of Lynnfield, not to party leaders in Boston. He’ll work hard to obtain grants and budget earmarks that will benefit our town. Funds that are critical to supplementing our town budget and provide us the opportunity to undertake projects that we otherwise couldn’t afford.

We have before us the opportunity to elect a life-long Lynnfield resident as our next state representative. We have not had a Lynnfield resident representing us in 32 years.
The time has come for Lynnfield to elect one of its own.

Please join me in voting for Joe Markey as our next state representative.
