Yesterday morning, ICE agents attempted to murder Carlos while he was on his way to work. He’s been in the hospital for over 24 hours, and his family, his lawyer, and the press have all been forcibly kept from communicating with him. His lawyer doesn’t even know if he’s conscious.

Call Doctor’s Medical Center NOW to demand they allow family and legal representation to be with Carlos! Hospital management will continue to hide behind ‘policy’ and ‘compliance’ to turn his loved ones and supporters away. We need to call these bureaucrats on their bu****it, and keep the pressure up until they’ve been allowed in for a visit. ‘Compliance’ with ICE pigs is a betrayal of the people and complicity with the mass deportation machine.

Tomorrow, 3/31, is Trans Day of Visibility. Join us at to write letters to Trans prisoners. Trans people in prison have been facing more and more legal attacks on their right to exist, and recently, trans people in Kansas have been targeted with laws stripping them of their IDs and placing them on what amounts to a government surveillance watchlist. We need to wake up and demand an end to the violence against trans people. Anyone could be next on the governments list of targets, and the trans community can't win this fight alone. Join Dare to Struggle BA for a few hours of writing letters to some incredible trans people fighting against brutal treatment behind bars. Trans Prisoners need everybody's support now more than ever. Come learn about cases of repression, and offer your support to someone in need

On Wednesday, March 25th, we hosted our first Police Brutality Forum at with the support of Rocco Robinson's family and folks with . Some of the questions we set out to answer included: how can we make Rocco's murder by SPD a city-wide question? What about nationwide? How can we take away the ‘right’ of these cops to terrorize our neighborhoods with impunity?

We dove into the problems facing the youth in the city, who, on one hand, are faced with poverty and massive cuts to local social and community services, and on the other are pushed to join Stockton's most vicious gang, . We discussed the threat we face from SPD Officers like Kyle Ribera and Ruben Rillon, who should be behind bars for murder, but instead are back on the force, roaming the streets with their guns, ready to kill again. And among other things, we talked about the role of Families Demanding Justice in rebuilding the movement against police brutality, because as we've learned, the struggle is constantly held back by grifters claiming to stand with the people. Only a movement led by families and people like Rocco's mother, .cali_life, can stand up against the epidemic of police brutality and murder.

Join us at Club El Marakas tomorrow night for our Justicia para Luis Cumbia Fundraiser! Come out to dance cumbia and raise $$ for Luis Manzo, who was shot and nearly killed by South City police in December. All proceeds from the cover will go to covering Luis’s legal and medical fees.

Luis is still being held in San Mateo County’s Maple St jail and is now at risk not only of getting deadly infections from his still-open gunshot wounds, but of becoming blind in his right eye. This medical condition—a direct result of being shot by SSFPD—requires immediate surgery. Luis needs to be released from custody now so that he can get this critical surgery and go to appointments he’s missed while in custody. Luis’s family needs the money to continue paying legal fees to fight his case and get him out of jail.

Join us next week March 22-27 to honor Rocco’s life and continue putting forward our demands for justice. It’s been 6 months since Rocco was murdered, and the city, DA, and PD have done nothing but peddle lies and protect the killer cops who took his life. They expect Rocco’s loved ones and the people of Stockton to get tired, give up, and move on with their lives. But we cannot move on. We must keep the fire and fight alive for Rocco, and for every person who’s been killed by Stockton police. The killings and brutality will not end until the masses of people stand up and take away the ‘right’ of these cops to terrorize our neighborhoods with impunity.

1) Take SPD officers Kyle Ribera and Ruben Rillon off the force and charge them with murder
2) Release the full, unedited body camera footage, and a full police report
