We're proud to have joined the hundreds of people who came out to celebrate International Workers’ Day and uplift the People’s Demands—including defending immigrant rights and demanding the return of our loved ones from prisons, jails, and detention centers.
Despite the distance, systemic, and technical challenges, we handed the mic to Guillermo (), a Bay Area civil rights organizer and tattoo artist.
Guillermo shared a speech from inside CoreCivic’s for-profit detention center in California City—more than 300 miles away. Guillermo’s words inspired the crowd to keep fighting this racist, exploitative capitalist system until we win.
Follow for ways to support him and his family.

Join us this FRIDAY, May 1st, for the 20th Anniversary of the 2006 megamarches for Immigrant Rights — the action that brought May Day back to the U.S. and defeated the racist Sensenbrenner bill, which tried to make being undocumented or helping undocumented people a felony.
20 years later, we're still fighting across the country: against the border wall, border militarization, death by ICE/CBP, exploitation of undocumented workers, deportations, family separation, and violence against undocumented folks — and now, in 2026, against Trump's racist mass deportation agenda.
