As the 2026 legislative session begins, Oklahoma Democrats say affordability will drive their agenda at the Capitol.

House and Senate leaders outlined priorities that focus on:
• Lowering everyday costs for families
• Insurance reform and stronger consumer protections
• Public education funding and oversight
• Housing affordability and government accountability

Democratic leaders say rising prices for groceries, housing, insurance and utilities are putting pressure on working families across the state, and they want lawmakers to respond with stronger oversight and targeted reforms.
