So many fun crafts, activities and adventures! One of our all time faves: wrapping sticks and making fairy wands, turning big-leaf maple leaves into owl puppets or fox masks, building big forts together and all kinds of fun team games in the forest 🌳 ❤️🍁

Our 5th Annual Harvest Party 😍🍁❤️
The NatureWise kids were so proud of the pumpkins and purple popcorn they grew and the farm stand they finished just in time for the party. They planted the seeds, tended the garden all summer, measured and planned, gathered branches, built and lashed, harvested and weighed, collaborating the whole way, and finally - they took turns working it during the party: getting people to sign in and gathering donations to help protect fern gully forest 🌳💗🍃
We also enjoyed:
🍁leaf masks and forest games
🍎fresh pressed apple c***r
🥘community harvest potluck
🎨 and natural tie dye t-shirts!

Big thanks to everyone who came and made it so sweet and special 🥰

Extra magic is afoot this week in the woods. 🍁🍃The kids found a scroll from a friend of the harvest spirit with a map and clues that sent them on great adventures!

The next day a spider had woven a web across the class room onto the ukulele the children had been playing in music time. And upon reflection of the previous days adventures they discovered the identity of the friend of the harvest spirit and were so excited!! 🕸️🕷️✨

That's nature's magic...we can't make this stuff up! 💫😍

And of course the kids love making forts and friends, finding forest treasures, and playing team games!

It's Harvest week at our NatureWise garden! The leaves are changing, pumpkins are ripening, and the forest is filled with treasures. Fall has arrived at Fern Gully, and that means it’s time for our Annual Harvest Party!

Our fall days have been full of muddy boots, busy hands, and curious minds. The children have been exploring the changing forest, tracking animals, building shelters, creating nature art, reading and telling stories, building friendships, tending the land, and playing team games.

Meanwhile, the garden is giving us its final gifts of the season. The children have been helping tend and harvest corn, pumpkins, squash, herbs, flowers and more, some of which we’ll turn into delicious food to share at the party. 🌽🥘🍈

It's an amazing experience for the children to plant, tend, harvest, and finally eat the food they helped grow!

We're looking forward to sharing the bounty with our community this Sunday, 2-5pm. Let's gather beneath the beauty of the autumn trees, share what we’ve grown, get to know each other, and celebrate another season of children learning and playing in the wild!

Bring a dish, pull on your boots, and come enjoy good food, fun activities, laughter, friendship, and a little autumn magic.
