Communities across Immanuel celebrated Senior Health and Fitness Day with activities that promote both mental and physical health. ๐ช
From trips to the zoo and Pioneer Park to chair Pilates and smoothies from New Day, residents enjoyed a day full of activity and connection. It also highlighted the importance of staying active as we age.

From taking the stairs to using the Thrive gym and pool, residents stay active by doing what they love!
Gretchen Terpsma first learned sign language to connect with her deaf aunt and uncle. She later became a sign language interpreter, and spent time helping children communicate and connect. Though she no longer works as an interpreter, the skill remains a meaningful part of who she is.
Participants at Immanuel Pathways of Eastern Nebraska PACEยฎ used their artistic skills during a watercolor session! Led by an instructor from WhyArts Inc., participants explored new techniques while painting some of their favorite landscapes. ๐จ๐๏ธ
