Have you been screwed by OPPM?

Hello all! I just wanted to share my experience with living in my BEAUTIFUL OPPM property for a year!

I lived with some friends in a split level sh****le that OPPM managed. We had this wonderful clause about our lack of central air or AC of any kind in our lease, that made sure they would have to do nothing about the fact that we had nothing in the 90-100 degree heat that our house would match! Pretty par for the course in s**tty properties in Omaha though.

However, my favorite part was when we found BED BUGS! They had to cover the cost of getting it sprayed. Seemed reasonable. The guy they hired to do it, said himself that based on the brown holes in the wall and under the carpet in the room that was the worst culprit, they had definitely been there a while. However, after a few more months of going ope! We saw another one! Send the guy! They decided they weren’t going to pay for it anymore. Because we had to cover costs “outside of the normal wear and tear of our home.”
I don’t know about you, but bed bugs that have been there a while, that we definitely didn’t bring, doesn’t seem outside of normal wear and tear of our home to me! Seems like a them problem for sure.
There were also mice! Who later became a worse problem than the fu***ng bed bugs!!
We also borrowed a very nice carpet cleaner from a friend and bought a ton of cleaner for it, because the carpets were absolutely DISGUSTING when we moved in!
Let’s not forget the HUNDREDS they’re trying to make us pay well after the move out for a broken doorknob to a s**tty hollow particle board door, amongst thousands from other things that should be nowhere near as much.
We already paid an extra month of rent that we didn’t live there for, and they didn’t give us our security deposit back! I think the pain and suffering and emotional turmoil we went through living in a mouse filled, bed bug riddled, filthy s**t hole should cover the damned rest!

If this was our experience, I can’t imagine what others have gone through! I would love for this page to reach others!!
