TODAY, WE REMEMBER: On May 27, 1998, Deputy Grady Braddock was on patrol when he learned that Windermere Police were trying to catch two suspects in a stolen vehicle. Deputy Braddock drove toward the pursuit to help. His life was tragically taken from him when the stolen car struck his car at over 90 miles per hour.

Join us in congratulating Community Service Officer Sydney Escobedo on being named CSO of the Quarter!

CSO Escobedo has served as a Field Training Officer for several years, playing a key role in the training and development of numerous recruits. In recent years, she has trained every recruit through the academy training portion and is known for her adaptability, dependability, and initiative.

Her dedication ensures future CSOs are fully prepared to serve Orlando at the highest level.

In addition to her training responsibilities, she now serves as the Assistant Squad Leader of West Patrol, taking on a leadership role within her new squad.

We’re grateful for dedicated, high-achieving team members like CSO Escobedo, who help make OPD great.
