Yesterday, we lost a devoted father, husband, brother, and Marine.
MSgt Raymond L. Putnam III (Ret) stood the watch for over 40 years. 25 years on active duty, retiring as a Master Sergeant, followed by 20 years of continued service as a civilian HRA with Marine Corps Recruiting Command.
His service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to this nation will never be forgotten.
Rest in eternal peace, Marine. We have the watch. Semper Fidelis.

February wasn’t slow. It was mission focused. We stepped onto 4 different college campuses from Orlando to Daytona and down in Melbourne looking for Leaders. Not just students. Young men and women ready to challenge themselves, raise their standard, and pursue something greater than average. We’re incredibly proud of the strong turnout from every school. Proof that the desire to lead and serve is alive and well in this generation. We also hit the trail for an OST ORLANDO hike to build endurance, sharpening grit, and strengthening the bond that defines the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS. Leaders are tested and transformed through the crucible of challenge. NOT comfort. If you’re driven competitive and ready to earn your place. The opportunity is here. The question is: are you?

6 miles under our belt. 6 future Marine Officers one step closer to earning it. Today the pool was motivated, locked in, and ready to attack every step of the hike. And they proved it. We contracted six new applicants headed to Officer Candidates School. The road to gold bars starts now. Earned never given. ⚓️🦅
