Historical Research Inquiry: Muncie Dale Farm (1873)

Does anyone have any historical information or documentation regarding the Muncie Dale Farm dating back to 1873?

We understand, based on an article we recently read, that the farm was located on the grounds of what is now Camp Chippewa in Franklin County, Kansas. We would appreciate any additional information, historical records, photographs, newspaper articles, or other resources that might help us learn more about the farm, its history, and its connection to the Munsee people.

Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated as we continue researching and preserving the history of The Munsee Tribe in Kansas for future generations.

Thank you for your time and assistance in helping us uncover and preserve this important part of our history!

🎙️ VOLUNTEER PODCAST ASSISTANCE NEEDED

The Munsee Tribe in Kansas is looking for someone with experience in podcasting who would be willing to help us get started.

At this time, we do not have the necessary equipment or experience to begin a podcast, and unfortunately, we do not currently have funding available to pay someone for assistance.

We are hoping to find a knowledgeable and generous individual who would be willing to share their time, experience, and guidance to help us get started.

Our goal is to create a podcast that can help share Munsee history, culture, stories, language, genealogy, and the voices of our community with Munsee descendants, friends, and the public.

If you have experience with podcasting and would be interested in volunteering your time or helping us learn how to get started, please send us a private message.

We would greatly appreciate any assistance, advice, or guidance you may be able to provide.

Thank you for helping us preserve and share our Munsee story!

Hello, everyone. The Munsee Tribe in Kansas is looking to borrow an older model MacBook to read and download information from a floppy disc. Efforts to try and access the floppy disc via an external reader have so far proved unsuccessful. The disc is currently held in the archive of Ottawa University, and the archivists there have also been unable to access the information on it.

We have evidence to believe the disc contains important information on and additional items within a collection related to The Munsee Tribe in Kansas. If you have a device we would be able to borrow, or additional suggestions on where we could find an older, compatible model, please leave a comment, message us here on Facebook, or email [email protected]. Thank you!
