‼️SHE HAS BEEN FOUND‼️

Today, our Health Department team stepped away from our normal operations to assist with the search for a missing 15 year old in our county.

We sincerely apologize to anyone who had an appointment cancelled, was unable to reach our office, or experienced a delay in receiving a call back today. We know your time is important, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Sometimes, serving our community means stepping up in ways that go beyond the walls of our office. Today, our team was proud to do just that. ❤️

Our thoughts are with this young girl, her family, and everyone involved in the search. We are hopeful for her safe return home.

If anyone has any information please do not hesitate to reach out the local authorities.

We enjoy every opportunity to train students at Tyler County Schools. Our “Think Outside the Box” scenarios Our “Think Outside the Box” scenarios are reminders that saving a life doesn’t always require the perfect tools or circumstances. Sometimes, it takes creativity, teamwork, and adaptability to see what’s available around you.

Preparedness is about being ready to save a life—however, whenever, and with whatever we have available.

For the third year, we had the opportunity to join Mrs. Jones’ 9th and 10th grade health class at Tyler Consolidated to talk about important topics that can sometimes be uncomfortable, but are so important for students to understand.
Our discussion covered STI/STD awareness and prevention, pregnancy prevention, consent, and healthy boundaries. We believe that providing young people with accurate, age appropriate health information gives them knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Mrs. Jones for continuing to welcome us into her classroom and for making these conversations a priority. ❤️

It's Child Passenger Safety Week. Make sure your child is in The Right Seat for their age and size — and that it's installed correctly every time. Wheeling PD currently has 4 Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) to assist with car seat installations and checks to ensure the seats are installed properly. If you need assistance, call the Region 4 Governors Highway Safety Program office at 304-234-3623.
