WHAT TO DO WHEN LIGHTS ARE OUT
Oct. 7, 2026
With the rainstorms continuing throughout the week, we know traffic signals are going to be failing intermittently. We have already had reports the traffic signal light is out at Crill and SR 19.
We want to make sure motorists are using their driving manual knowledge of how to approach a signal that is out, flashing yellow or flashing red. So dust off your knowledge and see if you are following the correct procedures.
🚫 NO SIGNAL LIGHT - Treat this as a four-way stop.
🔴 FLASHING RED - Lights should be treated as a stop sign.
🌕 FLASHING YELLOW - Drivers should proceed with caution only when traffic permits.
Also, please be careful when traveling the roadways as we also have reports of flooding on some roads.
