🐾 K9 Riot has been on the move the past couple of weeks, and he's been having an amazing time meeting members of our community!
From spending time with our dedicated firefighters at Palisade Fire Department to visiting the incredible staff at Taylor Elementary, Riot has been making new friends everywhere he goes. These visits are a great opportunity to build relationships, connect with our community, and introduce everyone to our favorite four-legged team member.
It's safe to say Riot has been soaking up all the attention—and the feeling is mutual! Thank you to everyone who has welcomed him with such enthusiasm. We look forward to many more visits and community events with K9 Riot! 🐶❤️

The Palisade Police Department is proud to partner with other local law enforcement agencies throughout the Grand Valley to bring the Blue Envelope Program to our community.

The Blue Envelope Program is designed to improve communication between law enforcement officers and individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other communication-related conditions during traffic stops and other law enforcement interactions.

Through this program, we hope to make these interactions safer, less stressful, and more positive for everyone involved by fostering understanding and effective communication.

If you or a loved one could benefit from the Blue Envelope Program, please take a moment to read the information in the shared post below. You are also welcome to stop by the Palisade Police Department to learn more about the program, ask questions, and pick up a Blue Envelope.

Together, we can continue building a safer, more inclusive community for everyone. 💙🚔

Today, our department had the honor of standing alongside our community to pay our respects during the procession on I-70 for fallen wildland firefighter Nathan Matthews.
Nathan made the ultimate sacrifice after succumbing to injuries sustained while fighting the Knowles Fire. His courage, dedication, and selfless service will never be forgotten.
As the procession passed, we were reminded of the sacrifices made by wildland firefighters and all first responders who put themselves in harm's way to protect our communities and natural resources. It was a privilege to join fellow first responders and community members in honoring Nathan's life and legacy.
Rest easy, Firefighter Nathan Matthews. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your unwavering commitment to others. You will never be forgotten.
