Update day 124: Let the storms rage😥
We’re back 😥 Jett woke up with a swollen painful eye. So we headed over to Stanford to meet with our oncology team. They took blood and quickly got us back into a room. Jett’s white blood cell counts were at 0 (they should be 1000 or more). Which means the chemo is doing its job but Jett is now nutrapenic and unable to fight any infections. Every little thing right now is a big deal. So, since Lucille Packard is full we were transported to the adult Stanford side ER to get antibiotics in Jett STAT. We waited in a private room in the ER for 6.5 hours and we finally got a room in Lucille Packard! Thank you Jesus! 🙏🏻 (there were talks of transporting us to another hospital via ambulance the hospital is so full, sigh). So we are hunkered in our room for the night waiting for a chest x ray and a CT scan of Jett’s eye. Jett is over everyone poking him. I want to cry several times a day... but for some crazy reason I power through. There really is no time to breakdown. I know God will get us through this and I am hopeful he will give me peace and understanding🙏🏻💙
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ. - Philippians 4:17

Update day 122: Chemo and Stuff.
We got home Thursday night from Stanford. Prob one of the hardest 4 days I’ve had yet. But I’m slowly recovering. Jett on the other hand is doing great. He’s playing, and even eating. We had to go back to Stanford on Friday for a shot and were back again today for blood counts, and a quick chemo dose and we get to come home. (Hopefully) Our life is hour by hour. I literally have an overnight bag by the front door at all times. I get excited when I get through another day👏🏻Unfortunately, Jack is sick with a virus so keeping the kids away from each other is a challenge. Ugh. Jett has a bed now in our room since I don’t feel comfortable with him sleeping away from us... he is loving his new bed. I call him my room mate😝 Christian is happy now playing volleyball and Home with us! Yay! (He has been staying with gramma while we were gone) we’re taking one day at time and sometimes one hour.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not grow faint. -Isaiah 40:31

It’s pretty funny that when we started flag football this year Jack hated it. He ended up loving it! He made 2 touchdowns tonight🙌🏻 I love this kid’s endless energy and spirit! 💙💙
