📣Attention Allenstown Residents
You might notice some unusual activity in our neighborhoods, trails, and roadsides starting this fall. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, is conducting a bedrock geologic mapping project through September 30, 2027.

Here is what you need to know so you can easily identify the field crews:

🚙 Vehicles: They will be driving gray Jeep Cherokees with U.S. government plates (Plate numbers: 1434842 and 1434845).

🦺Attire: Crew members wear high-visibility ANSI surveyor safety vests, hats, and/or hard hats.

🔨Gear: They carry standard geologic tools, including rock hammers, compasses, iPads, and backpacks.

📍What they are doing: Crews are looking at natural ledges, stream banks, and roadcuts to map the area's bedrock. They will always attempt to ask permission before crossing private land and will not disturb the environment.

If you have any further questions about this project, you can reach out to Greg Walsh at [email protected]

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Allenstown Police Department is proud to stand in solidarity with fighters and families impacted by breast cancer.

Throughout the month, our officers will be wearing special pink flex badges on their uniforms. These badges are a small symbol of our massive support for those currently battling this disease, a celebration of the survivors who inspire us, and a tribute to the loved ones we have lost.

We wear them for our families, our friends, and our Allenstown community🩷

Join us in raising awareness - remind your loved ones about the importance of early detection and routine screenings. Together, we can make a difference!

💙 OUR HEARTS ARE SO GRATEFUL 💙

Our community's police officers received an incredible surprise recently! The 4th graders at Allenstown Community School sent a beautiful collection of handmade notes and pictures to brighten up our department's days. 👮‍♀️👮✨

This month, these exceptional students completed a lesson learning about the events of September 11, 2001. The lesson focused on who first responders are and the importance of showing appreciation and gratitude. To wrap up the lesson, students chose a first responder group to honor - and we are so incredibly touched that they chose us!

Wow, just look at the talented works of art from our youngest community members...GREAT JOB, 4th GRADERS 🎨🏆🥇👏

Please join us in thanking these students and their teachers for the empathy, kindness, and artistic talent.
