The 1916 Club is an annual giving society designed to engage community members who share a commitment to the Cobbs Creek project. Centered on Philadelphia-area networking, group service initiatives, and golf, the 1916 Club offers a meaningful opportunity to support the Cobbs Creek mission while building connections within the broader Cobbs Creek community.
A lot can happen in a year.
The Lincoln Financial Center represents a huge milestone for Cobbs Creek: and it only happened through the help of countless supporters, donors, and community members, especially our incredible partners . We took a breath Monday to recognize that remarkable achievement and celebrate together.
But we’re not finished yet: 2027 includes our most ambitious goal yet - the 18 hole Olde Course. Will you help us get there?
As 2025 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on what has been our most transformative year yet: marked by milestones all fueled by your tremendous generosity.
A brief look back at what we’ve accomplished together:
- Officially opening the doors of the Smilow | Woodland TGR Learning Lab
- Premiering part one of the Golf Channel’s docuseries Cobbs Creek Rising: Headwaters to Horizons (part two coming in Spring 2026!)
- Opening the Lincoln Financial Center and Driving Range, Little Horse Tavern, Pro Shop and 1916 event space: and welcoming you back to Cobbs for play once more
- Reaching 70% of our $180 million fundraising goal
- Launching the public phase of our fundraising campaign, DRIVEN: Delivering on the Promise of Cobbs Creek
It’s been a busy year here in West Philly! And we couldn’t have done any of it without your support. You’ve helped us create a place where young people discover their passions and accelerate their educations, where community is fostered and celebrated, and where we honor our history while building a brighter future together.
But with $50 million left to raise, we’re not done yet.
As we look forward to 2026, we’re laser-focused on one goal: delivering on the promise of Cobbs Creek.
