“If you think smoking is hard to give up, try giving up your habitual patterns. It leaves you with the same kind of queasy feeling that you have when giving up any other addiction.”

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

After being disappointed time and time again, I am finally learning to make goals that are achievable. This year I hope to be better than I was last year by focusing on staying kind, pleasant, patient, and present.

What are your resolutions for the New Year?

The weather’s getting cold and the holiday season is already here! We’re spreading the cheer by doing another supply drive. Many of the same supplies are needed + cold weather essentials!

DM for drop-off details or make a monetary donation, and we’ll donate something on your behalf!

Reminder: It’s National Recovery Month!
Recovery is for everyone, so it naturally looks different for every individual. Take some time this month to think about what recovery means for you + your loved ones

I won’t lie, this month’s book club book isn’t the easiest to read, but it does ask some really important questions: How do you measure pain? How do you create policies surrounding pain? Who makes those decisions, and who is affected?

The answers to these questions can be seen in our (failing) healthcare and social services systems. Thinking about how we got here and why it continues on like this is a great first step to thinking about possible solutions.

Sending love to everyone who has lost someone to an overdose 💓

Overdoses are PREVENTABLE deaths. Drug usage doesn’t make someone a bad person or any less deserving of care.

Thank you so so much to everyone who donated to our supply drive! Every single item is tremendously appreciated! All items were dropped off to this morning!

A big THANK YOU especially to and for making the drop. 🌞🌞

Stay tuned for our next project!

Are you a bit f**ked??

Check out the Rhythm of Recovery’s newest book club selection!

Russel’s book “Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions,” takes the 12-step program and his own recovery journey and translates it into language that’s humorous, modern, and easily relatable.

This book isn’t just for those in the depths of addiction. It’s for anyone that has a habit they want to work on!
