Radio-tagged monarchs are on the move! This past weekend, we deployed a few more monarchs with radio tags to continue studying their migration, and they're already heading south of their deployment site of Lawrence, Kansas.

If you'd like to follow along on their journeys, download the free Project Monarch Science app and search for monarchs MW26-KS-036 through MW26-KS-044. You can even "follow" these monarchs in the app and get notifications when they get detected.

The Project Monarch Science app is connected with the initiative led by Cellular Tracking Technologies and Cape May Point Arts and Science Center to deploy radio-tagged monarchs and study their movement in new ways. Monarch Watch has continued participating in this collaboration and contributes radio-tagging data from our research projects to the collaborative for use in larger-scale data analyses.

The Borough was asked to share this JSD notification with the community.

Update on Borough Paving Project

The Borough has received an update from GoreCon Construction: Milling has now been completed. Paving operations will begin Monday, October, 5th at 7a.m. through Tuesday, October 6th.
Paving will begin at Harper and York Rd then from the bottom of Cedar at Washington Lane to the Summit Intersection. Speed cushions and striping will be done after.

There will be no parking during paving. All cars need to be removed from the street by 7a.m.
Residents WILL NOT have driveway access until paving is cooled.
If you have a medical condition or special circumstance, please contact the Borough so we may assist you.

The road closure is for the safety of the general public and the contractors performing work in the area. During the milling operation residents will have limited access to their driveways. While the paving material is being applied, the road will be closed to traffic until the paving material can be properly applied and is able to cool to a temperature safe for vehicular traffic. Please avoid the area and make plans to take an alternative route.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this project.

As always, if you have an Emergency Call 911.
