Yesterday the PA House Democratic Policy Committee and Philadelphia House Delegation co-hosted a roundtable and tour at the Fox Chase Cancer Center. After nearly 125 years devoted to caring for people with cancer, the Fox Chase Cancer Center highlighted how research has been and remains one of its greatest weapons in the fight against cancer.

Each one of us have been touched by cancer, be it personally or through family members or colleagues. We all know the transformative care offered at Fox Chase, which is a bright light throughout the state.

Unfortunately, we must also talk about what is happening to our healthcare system at the federal level, including the elimination of research funding, rising costs for prescription drugs and the looming rollback of Medicaid dollars.

Proud to announce over $1.2 million in state grant funding for our district!

$907,000 was awarded to Cobbs Creek Foundation to purchase specialized equipment to maintain the 350-acre property, allowing staff to maintain safe, high-quality playing conditions on the course year-round.

And $318,918 was awarded to Overbrook West Neighbors Inc. to construct the Overbrook Service Center, creating a community space to provide programs and services to businesses and property owners in Overbrook and surrounding neighborhoods.
