The dreams I had last night, most would call nightmares. Not because they were scary but because they shook me. But for me, they’re the type of dream I’m used to. But that’s not the point of this post this post is for me to let y’all know that life is full of changes. And those changes aren’t always pretty. But they lead to beautiful endings.

One dream I had, I saw a salamander lose its head and regrow it, most would say that’s not possible; well in my dream it was. But what made it beautiful in the end, the salamander was able to change colors and it was able to see its beauty again.

Another dream I had was where an American Indian was trying to recreate earth. Sounds weird I know. But he himself told me that change isn’t pretty, it’s being broken down from what it was and rebuilt into something more powerful and stronger.

And if what he said isn’t the truth then i don’t know what is. These last couple years, I’ve gone from a shy timid girl who would let people walk all over me, to rock bottom to now a growing woman who is learning her boundaries and learning how to stand up for what I believe. And trust me, it’s been terrifying at times. I’ve been shaken to my core some days. But I know that in the end, I’ll be a better person. Whoever she is. Wherever she is. And whatever she is doing. I will be her, and you will be them. Trust the process even if you feel like you can’t handle more. There’s always an up.

Never let someone take away your light because they’re ashamed of their darkness. Shine bright like a shooting star and share your light with everyone you pass. Don’t dim yourself sweetie 💜💜

Domestic violence aka domestic abuse or intimate partner violence: a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner. Abuse is physical, sexual, emotional, economic or psychological actions or threats of actions that influence another person. This includes any behaviors that frighten, intimidate, terrorize, manipulate, hurt, humiliate, blame, injure, or wound someone. Domestic abuse can happen to anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion, or gender. It can occur within a range of relationships including couples who are married, living together or dating. Domestic violence affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels.

This can happen to ANYONE regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, faith or class.

It can be anything from them controlling how much money you have access to, who you talk to, what you do, where you go, gaslighting, anything.

Those of us who have dealt with any type of trauma know how hard it is to leave that person or that event in the past.
