**ATTENTION RESIDENTS ON JEFFERSON STREET** The PECO gas main repair is scheduled to begin tomorrow, Friday, October 9. No Parking signs were posted by PECO's contractor. The project will start with milling of the trench and removal of the temporary asphalt; then new asphalt will be placed. When the trench repair is complete, the contractor will mill out and overlay new asphalt with a new top coat in the traffic lane to give the street a smoother surface. The affected properties should have received a letter directly from the contractor, Kehoe Construction. This work is scheduled to start at 5th Street and continue to Front Street as weather allows and will involve the intersections of several cross streets. Please note this is not a borough project. We will attempt to keep you updated as we receive more information. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants next week, 10/13 through 10/16. This will take place during normal working hours. Water may be slightly brown in color. Leave tap open until color returns to normal. This should only take a short time. Call the Borough Office with any questions/concerns at 215-679-5194, ext. 1.

Street sweeping on the even numbered side of all Borough streets is scheduled for Thursday, October 8th. Please remove your cars by 7 a.m.

Unfortunately, the chipper is currently out of service while waiting for parts. Fred and James hope to get back at it next week sometime. Please watch for updates on FB or our website.

Trinity Solar has a solicitation permit until 11/3/26 in East Greenville Borough. Please dispatch the EG police at 610-635-4300 with any concerns.

October is the last month for branch chipping. The remaining dates are October 6th and October 20th, weather permitting.
Please follow these chipping regulations:
* Place branches where you place your trash.
* We can spend no more than 10 minutes at any given stop.
* Stacking branches in an orderly fashion as close to the alley as possible saves pick up time. You may place smaller branches in a container to assist the crew.
* Branches must be less than 2 inches in diameter.
* We cannot remove downed trees.
* We cannot accept boards, lumber, furniture, bamboo, vines, roots, flowers, dried flowers, leaves, grass clippings or weeds.

To avoid ticketing, please remove cars from the even side of all streets for street sweeping on Thursday, October 8th.
