Know anyone apartment hunting in Germantown?

Rep. Andre D. Carroll and I were able to secure $2 million in state funding for affordable housing units to be built in the heart of Germantown. These renovations took a decades-old abandoned building and renovated the space into 16 beautiful one and two bedroom apartments.

Dignified housing is dignified living. Grateful to the state & local partnerships that made 5700 Germantown Ave Project possible.

Years of meetings, planning, building, and dreaming came into fruition on Friday.

Last week, Springfield Township welcomed me and to celebrate the grand opening of their Middle School. With a new cafeteria, weightlifting facility, HVAC system, and accessibility improvements, Springfield Township Middle School is setting up the next generation for success.

This Win Wednesday, we're celebrating Springfield Township Middle School. The staff, faculty, parents, school board members, construction teams, contractors, and students all won. I'm excited for what's to come in their new, beautiful spaces.

Philadelphia Immigration Court Judges are committing crimes.

Melissa Fox. Bill McDermott. Forrest Hoover. Mary Futcher. These judges are blindly deporting asylum seekers and refugees who came to the United States for a better life.

On Monday, Philadelphia stood on witness outside Immigration Court and rallied for the dignity of our immigrant neighbors. Diversity makes our nation stronger. We have to fight ignorance, not immigrants.

Be a Witness: Anti-ICE Rally & Vigil

10/11/2026

Tomorrow.

Oscar Belgal was shot in the neck by masked ICE enforcement officers yesterday afternoon in New York City. 7 rounds fired into the car with the Oscar's 5-year-old in the back seat. 7 rounds fired as Oscar's 5-year-old watched.

Some ICE agents were wearing construction vests or face masks, and at least one carried a long gun. School had just let out for the day. Children were around as the assault occurred.

On Monday, Philadelphia is standing in solidarity with Oscar, his son, and the thousands of immigrants living in daily fear because of ICE cruelty. Bring your signs, bring your friends, bring your support. Join us at Immigration Court at 11am as we demand ICE be held accountable for their inhumane treatment of our immigrant neighbors.

I had the opportunity to visit Briar Bush Nature Center, a tremendous facility that provides our community with a place to explore and connect with nature.

Congratulations on $93,000 in funding for improvements that will help support this wonderful community resource for years to come.
