Whether we live in suburban towns or city neighborhoods, everyone in Pennsylvanians deserve safe, reliable, dignified access to the places we need to go. Across the state, 30% of the population does not drive a car (2022 numbers here for reference).

When working people and small businesses pay the same percent in taxes as billionaires and multinational corporations, that's not "fairness" - it's elites exploiting a broken system. This week, Rep. Morgan Cephas and I introduced a bill to finally repeal the most outdated and regressive tax language in the constitution: the uniformity clause.

The Progressive Taxation for PA Bill was introduced on Monday to propose the repeal of the Uniformity Clause in the Pennsylvania Constitution.

We're not giving up the fight to make the megarich and mega corporations pay what they OWE to the Commonwealth. Simple policy changes, like closing the "Delaware loophole" on profit reporting, could bring in millions in revenue for our schools, roads and bridges, public transit, healthcare and crisis response systems, and so much more.

Tax billionaires, fund healthcare! It was my pleasure to meet with SEIU healthcare workers in my Harrisburg office yesterday to talk about the needs that healthcare workers across the state and in Philly are facing. We need a healthy, well-funded healthcare system that pays workers a living wage. Cuts to Medicare and Medicaid are doing serious damage to hospitals. medical facilities, and homecare programs, and we must reverse this trend with progressive policy that puts people - not profits - first.

Solar for Schools shows us how solar can work anywhere, from rural areas where sheep graze beneath ground-mounted panels to city school buildings that have ample sunlight on their rooftops! I'm so happy to see this reporting on Philly-area Solar for Schools projects that are coming online, and excited to see upcoming projects at Saul and Furness High Schools, Hamilton and Mayfair Elementary, and Dobbins CTE that have also received funding!

Unionville High School in Kennett Square and Universal Audenried Charter School in Philadelphia are building solar arrays that will slash their energy bills.
