Yesterday the GOTR Team was hosted by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Environmental Protection & Natural Resources Department for a Service Project in honor of Earth Day at the Cottonwood Wetland.

Director Chavez opened the event by reading an Earth Day Proclamation signed by Governor Katie Hobbs. The team made seed balls which were then planted within the wetland. It was a beautiful day of gathering and reconnecting with nature. GOTR sends a huge thank you to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the SRPMIC Environmental Protection Office for their partnership and generosity. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and care taking skills on a day celebrated around the world. Happy Earth Day!
