Raffaella Valentini, and the Italian Defense Ministry, Hon. Guido Crosetto, in expressing our deepest condolences to the family of Major Salvatore Carpitano. We salute and honor an Italian Airforce Member who served his country, and his beautiful family, with dedication and loyalty.

Raffaella Valentini, ed al Ministro della Difesa italiano, On. Guido Crosetto, nell'esprimere le nostre piu' sentite condoglianze alla famiglia del Maggiore Salvatore Carpitano. Cordoglio ed onori ad un membro dell'Aereonautica Militare italiana che ha servito il suo paese, e la sua bellissima famiglia, con dedizione e lealta'.

"Con profonda tristezza ho appreso della scomparsa del Maggiore dell'Aeronautica Militare Salvatore Carpitano deceduto a seguito di un tragico incidente stradale nei pressi della Base aerea di Luke (Stati Uniti) dove prestava servizio in qualità di pilota istruttore presso la Rappresentanza Aeronautica Militare Italiana (RAMI). A nome mio e di tutta la , esprimo le più sentite condoglianze alla sua famiglia, al Capo di Stato Maggiore dell'Aeronautica Generale di Squadra Aerea Antonio Conserva, e a tutti i colleghi dell'Arma Azzurra". Maricopa is the 4th largest county in the nation with a territory that is larger than 4 U.S. States, covering 9,224 square miles. Named in honor of the Maricopa or Piipaash Native American Tribe, it is home to approximately four and a half million people, more than half the residents of the entire State of Arizona. 🌵☀️

This is how impressive is the responsibility bestowed onto the Maricopa County Sheriff Office, which up until November 2024 was led by Paul Penzone, a man of integrity with a deeply Italian heart.

In the past days I had the opportunity to meet in person our new Maricopa County Sheriff, Jerry Sheridan, during one of his many outreach initiatives aimed at building lasting relationships with the various groups that make our State so rich and diverse. On behalf of the Italian community in Arizona, I wish to express my best wishes to Sheriff Sheridan and his team as they carry on with their daily duties to serve and protect the people of Maricopa County, and I am certain that we will continue to foster a great relationship.
