6 Arizona bills that could actually make a dent in the housing crisis 03/03/2026

This is a great rundown on the housing bills in the state legislature. The focus should continue to be on putting shovels into the ground and encouraging more homebuilding. Bills without that principle won’t solve our crisis:

6 Arizona bills that could actually make a dent in the housing crisis Arizona lacks enough housing, and what it does have is too expensive. State lawmakers might actually do something about it.

The Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives, Rusty Bowers, and I celebrated 31 exceptional leaders within the Latino community. Each leader representing a day for .

I do believe, however, that we need more than a month to honor selfless individuals that give so much to our community. Which is why I must make a statement, asking my fellow Arizonans to celebrate the cultures and heritage that enriches our state with diversity.

What is my continued vision for Arizona’s housing market? That Arizona Realtors have an inventory to sell and that Arizonans can afford to continue living in our state. It is that simple. We need elected officials that have the political will to ensure these two fundamentals to our state’s economy. Thank you Arizona Association of REALTORS for the invitation to speak to your members.

Thank you Arizona! It has been my utmost honor to have served in the Arizona State Legislature, particularly the people of legislative district 29.

The primary election has come and gone with the unfortunate news that we will not continue to serve in the legislature. However, my commitment to ensure that democracy and civility is upheld continues. That we can find our love and pride for Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness underneath the rubble that division has created. And that we can unify under the respect and sanctity that the institution deserves. God bless you and the State of Arizona.

¡Gracias Arizona!

As my last legislative session in the Arizona House of Representatives comes to an end, I can’t help but think of the person responsible of my political career. Ben Miranda was a catalyst for change and a well-rounded leader that taught me to always make the right choice even when it isn’t the most popular. I miss him everyday but I know he continues to guide me in the decisions I cast.

Two days ago, I was the lone Democratic vote that allowed for the Arizona State Budget to pass out of the Appropriations Committee. This vote allowed for enough leverage to continue negotiations thus leading to a monumental investment for the State of Arizona. With the passage of the budget, we’ll see over $1B dollars going into our K-12 public education system, $1B towards infrastructure projects, 10% raises for state employees, almost $500M added to the rainy fund so that we’re prepared for a recession. Bipartisanship is alive!
