With access to GED programs, parenting support, and therapy services, among other resources, young women at Florence Crittenton receive the help they need to heal and flourish. 🔬📕

Did you know the mental and emotional health of teen girls across the United States is at an all-time low? A new report by the CDC found that in 2021, 3 in 5 girls experienced consistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness and were at a greater risk of su***de.

Thanks to the generosity of , we now have a new arcade game in our recreation space! 🕹️ The young women who live here can use it in their spare time, creating lovely memories with their young children and one another! Founded in 1896, Florence Crittenton is the second oldest social service agency in Arizona. Throughout its dynamic history, it has been dedicated to serving at-risk and disadvantaged girls and young women with a mission to provide every girl whose life we touch with safety, hope, and opportunity.
The agency was named after Florence Crittenton, who died at the age of four from scarlet fever. Her father and affluent New York businessman, Charles Crittenton, turned his grief into a life-long commitment to provide safe havens for young women in need. The agency was originally a refuge for sick and destitute women and an early provider of daycare for working women before evolving into a home for u***d mothers and their adoptive babies.
