Cat Mama's Sanctuary cares for homeless street cats through our Spay/Neuter/Feed/Adopt Program.

Here at Cat Mama's Sanctuary, it is our vision is to eliminate euthanasia as a means of population control for cats in our communities through our Spay/Neuter/Feed/Adopt Program. We work with local vets practices, rescue groups, and cat loving volunteers and caregivers to trap, neuter, return and feed the homeless street cats in our communities and neighborhoods. All donations are used for spay, neuter, medical treatments, surgeries, food, supplies, sanctuary care and maintenance.

Hi Friends...

I hate to post this but I am in need of support. Since moving Cat Mama's Sanctuary to West Virginia last year, life has been quite the struggle. In 10 months, we lost 8 cats to a variety of illnesses, and most recently, we lost our 1 year old kitten during a routine neuter due to an apparent drug reaction. ๐Ÿ’” The heartbreak has been unbearable and with all of the vet visits and increased cost of living in WV, finances have been tight.

I am reaching out with an ask for donations to help with supplies like cat food and litter. There are a couple cats that are in need of dentals, but everyone else seems to be doing ok. If you can help, we would be so grateful. If I had known relocating the sanctuary would come with such struggle and heartbreak I would have stayed in Phoenix. But for now we are here, and any help would be a lifeline to the cats in our care. Thank you so much. ๐Ÿ™ Below are links where you can donate:

Urgent Help Needed: Teja Needs Life-Saving Surgery 02/26/2024

Please help!!

Our beloved Teja, is facing a health crisis. Teja has been diagnosed with gallstones, causing her tremendous pain and discomfort. The only solution to alleviate her suffering is a crucial surgery to remove her gallbladder.

However, this surgery comes with a hefty price tag of $6,000, a sum that exceeds our current resources. Without this surgery, Teja's health will continue to deteriorate, putting her life at risk.

We are reaching out to our compassionate community for help. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Teja's life. Your generosity will directly fund Teja's surgery, giving her a chance to live a happy and healthy life once again.

Please consider donating and sharing this with your friends and family. Let's show Teja that she's not alone in this fight. Together, we can ensure Teja receives the medical care she urgently needs.

Donations can also be called in directly to the animal hospital where she is getting her surgery on Tuesday, ARISE Queen Creek; 480-746-6600

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support. Cat Mama's Sanctuary is a 501c3 nonprofit organization; all donations are tax-deductible.

I want to give a huge thanks and shoutout to Christown Animal Hospital for saving Miracle's life. Dr. Powers and the wonderful techs worked diligently to address her traumatic injuries, maggots, and stillbirth babies while stabilizing her so she could make it through the night. Dr. Sandhu agreeing to come in on his day off the following day to perform her amputation surgery, I couldn't have asked for a better team to take on her case.

It's been exactly one week since she was found. Tomorrow is one week since her surgery and she is doing so well. She is anemic and has a slight fever, but her energy levels are great and her spirit is so resilient and wanting to be here to see another day. She's walking, actually quite fast I must say, this missing leg doesn't seem to phase her at all. She truly is a miracle and we owe it to the team at Christown Animal Hospital, the heroes that gave Little Miss Miracle a second chance at life. Thank you!

Update about our pregnant mama cat that was hit by a car. I am happy to report that she is doing absolutely amazing. The surgery went as smooth as possible and she's the sweetest, most affectionate, loving cat after having endured such horrific circumstances. She's standing and getting around a little, has a great appetite and talks a lot! Huge thank you to all who have showed support and love throughout this process!

I believe she is still a kitten herself as she is smaller than both of my 8 month old kittens and her head/face is very tiny. She may be around 8-10 months. Unless she's just a very small cat.

Total medical expenses are included in the photos, and are as follows:

Bill 1: $637
Bill 2: $561.70
Bill 3: $1,900
Bill 4: $204
Total: $3,302

Total donations receieved from all of you

Another cat hit by a car was brought to Cat Mama's Sanctuary, but this time it was a pregnant mama who was 2 weeks shy of delivering babies. Apologies in advance for the graphic images, but this is rescue, and this is what we deal with when it comes to homeless cats and why we work tirelessly to spay/neuter, find homes for those we can, and remind people that we share the world with homeless animals, so be alert and mindful while driving, it could save a life. I'm sharing what I've shared to cat rescue groups. If you can help out in any way, I'd be super grateful.

Ok guys, update on the pregnant kitty who was hit by a car that has her femur protruding from her body, wound infested with maggots and lost all four of her babies.

The wound is not fresh meaning she was injured a few days ago and has been living with this to the point there are hundreds of maggots in this wound. She needs her leg amputated the injury is that severe. Thankfully the rest of her body looks OK, and her bloodwork is OK too, although she is slightly anemic.

Thought I could get her in with Dr. Kimmel this morning but he's got too much on his plate today and doesn't have an opening until Monday so my local vet is currently treating her and cleaning up the wound, cleaning out the maggots and giving her antibiotics and pain meds for the time being. The other doctor that works at my local clinic that can do this surgery is off until Monday but said he would come in tomorrow morning to perform the amputation, at a cost of $1,900.

She will remain in my care through this process, I've already spent $1,200 so far on her without the surgery, so if anyone can help with donations, that would be super helpful and greatly appreciated.
Below are the different ways you can donate to help with the medical expenses and care for this poor mama kitty who surely is traumatized. She kept staring at her babies on the table, I had to pick one up and show it to her so she could see that they were not alive. It was heartbreaking.

She looks very young herself, maybe 1 years old, and she is just the sweetest thing ever. We think she may have been abandoned at the complex by her owner. Anything helps. Just couldn't live with dropping her off at an ER vet only for them to euthanize her if the treatment was more than they had resources for. Thanks in advance for caring enough to help this little girl in need.

Meet Lotus, a brave and resilient kitty who recently endured a traumatic accident. She was found on the side of the road after being hit by a car and needed urgent medical attention. Thankfully, the person who found her contacted Cat Mama's Sanctuary, and we were able to get her into our vet ASAP.

Lotus's injuries were severe, including a dislocated hip and a dislocated p***c symphysis. We've provided her with the necessary medical care, including X-rays and surgery, to give her a second chance at life.

I'm excited to share that Lotus is on her way to recovery, but she still has a long road ahead. For the next six weeks, she'll be on strict bed rest at Cat Mama's Sanctuary, receiving the love and care she deserves.

Our mission at Cat Mama's Sanctuary is to provide a safe haven for cats like Lotus and to ensure they receive the medical attention they need. However, these lifesaving efforts come at a cost, and we need your help to cover the $1,600 in medical expenses incurred during Lotus's treatment.

Please consider making a donation today to support Lotus's journey to a healthier and happier life. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of cats like Lotus, giving them the love and care they deserve.

Update: the kitten passed away during surgery. I am completely heartbroken right now. ๐Ÿ’”

Kitten is currently awaiting surgery. Both eyes will need to be removed. We are asking for donations to cover his surgery at noon. We are grateful for any help we can get. The quote for his procedure is in the comments. Thank you so much to anyone that can help. Donations can also be called in directly to Harmony Veterinary Hospital at (602) 249-1900 ๐Ÿ™

Update: Waiting for finder to bring him back over to me. May not be going to emergency depending on how he is when I see him, but will keep him overnight and take to my regular vet in the morning. If anyone can donate, I will create a fundraiser for him now for this vet visit. Getting the link for that and will update soon.

Just found this baby. Weโ€™re going to take him to emergency. Would anyone be willing to donate for his care or do you think surrendering him is a better option? I have a nonprofit and get a slight discount at VetMed. I donโ€™t know what the prognosis is for kittens with this eye condition. Anyone have any experience of the outcome?

Donations can be sent to my nonprofit via PayPal, Cashapp or Venmo. Thanks to anyone that can help us get this baby the treatment he needs.

Hi friends! Last year I posted about a mobile home park with a really crappy property manager that stated he kicked a little kitten like a football and killed it. (The kitten who loved his duck friend)

We were all outraged by this and over the last year he has threatened to evict and fine residents if they feed the cats. Thankfully we were able to contact the higher ups at the company that own this property and they agreed to allow us to start a TNR program. They stated no one would be evicted or fined and they are on board with getting these cats fixed and the residents can continue to feed discreetly. We are working with Sassy Cats TNVR to help move this forward and are seeking help via donations to make this happen.

Please consider donating to help us fix the 30 cats that live at this mobile home park so no more kittens are born here and the ones who do remain can live in a safer environment. All donations will go to Sassy Cats for this upcoming project. Thanks so much in advance to all that can help or share this post. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿˆ ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›
