From the earliest days of the organization, Rotarians were concerned with promoting high ethical standards in their professional lives. One of the world's most widely printed and quoted statements of business ethics is The 4-Way Test, which was created in 1932 by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor (who later served as RI president) when he was asked to take charge of a company that was facing bankruptcy. This 24-word code of ethics for employees to follow in their business and professional lives became the guide for sales, production, advertising, and all relations with dealers and customers, and the survival of the company is credited to this simple philosophy. Adopted by Rotary in 1943, The 4-Way Test has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways. It asks the following four questions:

"Of the things we think, say or do:

1. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

🏆The battle for Big Trash wages on.

Every other Saturday, our Phoenixville Rotary Club hits the streets to pick up trash-and we bring the kiddos along for the fun!
As soon as they get the “grabbers” the race is on— bragging rights for the finder of the “best” trash! Part pick-up and part scavenger hunt...
Last time, it was a tie between a pair of “intact underpants” (their words-not mine!) and a bottle of Stella that was half-full of mystery chunks.
I’m not sure what we’ll find next time, but the stakes are high.
Who will take home the Big Trash crown next time?

Always great energy at our Phoenixville Rotary Club meeting!

We had a fantastic lunch (love a place that makes their own chips!) and an inspiring motivational talk from guest speaker Ari Paul. Motivation and magic—how’d you do that with the rope, Ari?!?🤔

We also dove into our current service projects in the pipeline. We are pumped to bring a fun-filled night of dinner and bingo to our friends at Whitehall Veterans Housing next week—it’s an absolute blast!

Our club is growing, and there is always room for more hands and hearts dedicated to service. The more the merrier!

Every other Saturday morning, members of our Phoenixville Rotary Club hit the streets for our town cleanup walk. It’s a great way to get the kiddos involved in service—watching them hunt down “big trash” with their grabbers rivals the excitement of an Easter egg hunt!
Want to know more about what we do? We meet every other Thursday at the Phoenixville Country Club and jump into community projects year-round.
Next up: Pizza and bingo for our veteran friends over at Whitehall on 9/30!

Great afternoon at the Phoenixville Rotary Club last week. Huge thanks to Bev Weinberg, OTD and Madelyn Anton from Integrate for Good for joining us over lunch to share how they create meaningful inclusive roles, skill-building opportunities, and community connections for people with disabilities. I love seeing a mission that turns inclusion into action!❣️

What a fantastic Phoenixville Rotary Club meeting last week!
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting the talented young musicians from Crescendo Phoenixville.
Crescendo does such inspiring work in our community, providing high-quality, tuition-free music education and performance opportunities to local youth, empowering them through music, teamwork, and mentorship. It was awesome to hear a few members perform, and we loved having them stay to join us for lunch afterward!
A few other highlights from a great afternoon:
We gave Rotarian Christine Brown a quick call— since she couldn’t make it in person-and serenaded her with a loud rendition of Happy Birthday!
We were thrilled to officially welcome back longtime friend and former member Kimberly Wilkinson, whose new schedule finally allows her to rejoin our club!
Grateful for wonderful music, great fellowship, and a community that keeps growing stronger together.

Our Rotary Club is growing, and we are so excited to officially welcome our newest member, Mihai Todea. It’s always a highlight for us to add more hands to help do great work for our community!
We’ve been busy planning our exciting upcoming service projects-and while we’re dedicated to making a real impact, we also believe in the power of having some serious fun. Every project is an opportunity for fellowship, laughter, and building strong, lasting connections with each other.
