Check this out! 🦋 Our Carolina Fence Garden at the Pickens Extension Office is hosting lots of Fritillary larvae and butterflies this year! The primary host plant for fritillary butterflies in South Carolina are passionflower vines and native violets! Of which we have both in our garden! 🥰

Ready to grow your own fruit? Join us with Clemson Extension at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley for an engaging workshop on planting and cultivating fruit in your backyard.

South Carolina gardeners of all experience levels are invited to join Clemson Extension Horticulture Agent Briana Naumuk for an in-person workshop on all things backyard fruit. We’ll discuss the small fruits and tree fruits best suited for growing in the Upstate and cover everything from selecting the right crops for your site and getting started to the proper care and maintenance needed for healthy, productive plants for years to come.
