We need candy! We’re gearing up for Troops & Treats at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force this Saturday, and we need 7,000 pieces of candy!

Every bag helps us make Halloween a little sweeter for the kids who come through. Can you help us reach our goal? Drop off candy Thursday or message us to find out how you can help!

October 26th is National Day of the Deployed. It is a day set aside to honor the service and sacrifice of our military men and women who are called to serve away from home, as well as the support and sacrifice their families at home make.

If you'd like an easy way to show a deployed military member your gratitude, follow this link to have a care package sent on your behalf, free of charge, as a part of the Crown Royal Purple Bag project.

Here's a little sneak peek at what we have planned for Veteran Celebration 2026!

On November 14th, the Tom Daugherty Orchestra will be joining us at Edison State Community College for an incredible Glenn Miller tribute, bringing the sounds of the big-band era to life, complete with musicians dressed in World War II uniforms!

And that's just part of the evening! We'll also be treating our veterans and their families to a delicious dinner from Olive Garden, all completely FREE thanks to our wonderful community partners.

If you're a veteran or know one who would enjoy an evening of great food, fantastic music, and good company, we'd love to have you join us!

Reservations are required, with a $10 per-person reservation fee that's refunded in cash when you arrive.

Take a listen, then grab your seats!

Our Executive Director Valerie is in Washington D.C. this weekend for the unveiling of the Desert Shield - Storm Memorial and she was invited to speak during the Research Advisory Committee on Gulf War Illness.

She brought her personal experience with her as a caregiver of over 30 years for her husband and a wealth of professional experience advocating for veterans and their families.

"I was honored to be included and to have been able to meet with so many of my fellow caregivers and advocates," Valerie said. "We aren't asking for major change at the VA. We are pressing for changes to bring the diagnostics and continued care plans for veterans diagnosed with Gulf War Illness more in line with other service connected disabilities."

She and her husband also enjoyed meeting a large delegation of Australian veterans of Desert Storm who were in town not only for the memorial, but to lend their voices to the America veterans who are also struggling with the same myriad of diagnoses.

It was a powerful day on Friday. The unveiling of the Desert Shield - Storm memorial is Saturday October 24, 2026 at 11am. It is open to the public so if you’re local to the memorial, stop and be part of this historic moment.

We are blessed to be members of two amazing local Chamber of Commerce, and we wanted to spread the love this National Support Your Local Chamber Day.

Thank you to Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce for your support back when we were getting our feet under us as a new non-profit and still today. We've been members for years and we've learned a lot from you!

We've only been members of the Troy Ohio Chamber of Commerce for a few months, but the welcome has been amazing. We see you almost weekly ("Printer fairy back again!") and every time its warm.

Support your local Chamber of Commerce, wherever you are. They do amazing work for local businesses and non-profits in your communities!

It was great to see our fellow Chamber members Genell's Flowers and Trojan Florist when we picked up our flowers today. ❤️🌼

Thank you to everyone who came out to run, walk, cheer, and support our event. We’re already looking forward to seeing all of you next year - our 2027 race will be Saturday, October 2nd!

After the race, everyone enjoyed burritos from our friends at Crooked Handle- Piqua and smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
