Arbitrary degree requirements don’t make any sense, and they hurt all of us.
On my first day in office, I eliminated the college degree requirement for 92% of state government jobs – because the doors of opportunity should be open to anyone who wants to serve the good people of Pennsylvania.

With all of the excitement, we forgot to post this picture of some of our Committee members and friends gathering last night with Josh Fleitman for Shaler Ward 2 Commissioner as results were coming in. Looks like a good time was had by all!

Thank you to the efforts of poll workers and election officials who devoted their time and energy to our electoral process!
From handing out pens, processing absentee ballots or answering the same question every 2 minutes for 10 hours, everything you do makes our elections work.
Thank you for your service to your neighbors and communities!

Congratulations Liz!!
I am thrilled to share that have been decisively re-elected to serve a second term on the Shaler Area School Board.
Thank you to all of the voters, those that have unconditionally supported me and my unwavering commitment to our students, our staff and our community. That commitment wouldn’t be possible without the ever present support from my husband and our children. They are the real MVP’s.
I will not always get it right. We are all only human. However, I promise you that I will continue to uphold my oath to represent each and every person in the district with the integrity we all deserve. I promise to show up for you.
Again - we are all only human.
We are neighbors. Our children go to school together, play sports together. We help one another in times of need. We rally around each other when we see a family suffering.
Let’s commit to these principles and to do better for one another. The conversations and interactions I had yesterday were evidence that we are ready to walk away from the chasm created by the hyper-political hysteria that has swept the country. That has pitted us against each other.
We are humans. We are neighbors. We are a community. We take care of us.
Thank you again, it is the honor of my life to serve you in this seat.
We are all Titans 💙🤍❤️

Congratulations Alex!
Thank you, Allegheny County! Tonight, you spoke loudly and clearly. Our fundamental values are not up for debate. Our Democracy is not optional. Our rights are not to be questioned. I heard you, and the leaders of our county have heard you.
It is with humility that I accept your mandate. It is with steadfast determination that I will fight for you.
I am incredibly thankful for the countless individuals who made this campaign possible. We are a team, just as our county is a team. Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, the work of serving you begins.

Congratulations Lissa for Allegheny County Council!
I am proud of the campaign that we ran, focused on issues that matter to district three residents: continuing basic government services regardless of the chaos at the state and federal level, increasing public safety and supporting our first responders, addressing traffic safety and transit across the district, and growing early learning opportunities for our children.
Thank you to everyone who voted for me, contributed their time or money (or both!), and those who contributed in any way to spreading the word about who I am and what I care about. Thank you most especially to my family who sacrificed a lot of time with me over the last several months, but supported me unconditionally: My husband Josh who encouraged me from the very start, my children who are the reason I do this work, my parents who gave time and unwavering support to my efforts, and my in laws who helped to spread the word about me and spent many hours with our children while I was campaigning. I could not have made this happen without my wonderful family.
Thank you to my opponent who ran a spirited campaign and called to concede and offer his help to me in the future.

Congratulations to Josh for winning in Ward 2!!
Friends – we did it! Our vision for the next generation of leadership won the day. And it was a historically strong victory – we won more votes than any Ward 2 Commissioner candidate in at least the past four Municipal Elections. Thank you! I’m honored to have earned your confidence. I plan to uphold that trust, work hard, and serve Shaler Township with integrity in office.
To all our volunteers and supporters in this campaign: thank you from the bottom of my heart for going on this journey with us and for your time, effort, and resources that you poured into our effort.
Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we get back to work to build an even .

Reminder: If you have not returned your mail ballot and you want to vote in person, you have two options: 1. Bring your ballot packet, including the outer envelope, to your polling place to be surrendered. You can then vote on your county’s voting system; OR 2. If you don’t have your mail ballot, you can vote by provisional ballot at your polling place. Your county elections office will verify that you didn’t vote by mail before counting your provisional ballot.
