An anti-affirmative action group is suing the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation over scholarships supporting Black students from underfunded districts. This is a horrifying attempt to erase remedies for inequity! We protect pathways built to confront a history of exclusion.

ICE agents have left Pittsburgh International Airport roughly two weeks after being deployed during the partial government shutdown. Officials say airport operations are unaffected.
A TSA agent confirmed seeing ICE agents Tuesday, but none on Wednesday. This comes on the brink of other good news that A bill was unanimously approved by the Pittsburgh City Council blocks city employees from cooperating with ICE enforcement operations.

The initiative aims to support skill-building and reentry, though wages are low and structured under strict rules. Supporters say it’s a step toward fairness and rehabilitation, while critics argue the pay is minimal and overdue. Overall a step in the right direction but more steps need to be taken.
