Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuel) 1st Class Daniel Dunlevy was born and raised Wintersville, Ohio and has been in the Navy for over 13 years.

ABF1 says he joined the Navy to serve his country.

“One of my favorite parts of the Navy has been the opportunity to travel overseas and experience different countries and cultures.”

Dunlevy says the most rewarding aspect of recruiting is preparing Future Sailors for bootcamp. Recruiting is important to him because he is able to bring in the next generation of Sailors that will eventually replace him.

Prior to NTAG Pittsburgh, Dunlevy has served aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68), NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, and USS Gerald R. Ford.

NTAG Pittsburgh’s Command Master Chief CMDCM Demetrius Thomas had the opportunity to visit the NRS Monroeville DEP meeting yesterday.

While he was there, he offered the perspective of a senior enlisted leader to the Future Sailors, who had a lot of questions for him.

The delayed entry program allows Recruiters to mentor their future Sailors to ensure that they are prepared for boot camp.
