We are the Allegheny County chapter of the Libertarian Party. We are the only political party that seeks both fiscal responsibility & social inclusiveness.

The Libertarian Party of Allegheny County staunchly supports the Second Amendment because we believe people have the right to defend themselves. We also understand the importance of a populace that is well trained on the use of fi****ms. Libertarians from Allegheny, Armstrong, and Butler Counties have taken classes with the Keystone Freedom Group and have said good things about it. You may want to check it out! Open carry is legal without a permit but you need a permit to conceal a firearm on your person or in a car. Why?

The Constitution IS your carry permit.

The Second Amendment is clear, you have a right to BEAR arms, not just own them.

Public Investment, Private Windfalls: The NFL Draft as Civic Redistribution Theater 04/25/2026

While the cameras were rolling on the NFL Draft, Pittsburgh’s real economy was telling a different story.

Some North Shore bars had lines down the street, while neighborhood favorites just a few blocks away were staring at empty tables and wasted inventory. This is the "fantasy economy" vs. the real one.

When the government "invests" $14 million of our tax dollars, they aren’t helping the economy—they are picking winners and losers with your money.

If these events are such great investments, let the NFL and the big developers use their own capital. Their risk, their return. Leave the taxpayers out of it.
