Good morning Zone 1!

The upcoming resident-led Zone 1 Public Safety Council meeting is taking place Thursday, April 2 at 6:00 PM.

You can join in person at the Mattress Factory (509 Jacksonia St. Pittsburgh PA 15212) or attend virtually via Zoom, depending on what works best for you. If you wish to join via Zoom, email [email protected] for the link.

This meeting will be a great opportunity to connect, share updates, and discuss what’s ahead for our community.

Last night, Public Safety Director Sheldon Williams met with residents and Zone 1 officers at the Public Safety Zone 1 Council March meeting.

They discussed ongoing resident concerns and ways to address community needs. The group also met with the Zone 1 Safer Together Coordinator and leaders from the Office of Community Health & Safety.

This week, Acting Police Chief Lando and Acting Public Safety Director Williams met with the City’s Safer Together Coordinators from the Office of Community Services & Violence Prevention to collaborate on new and innovative ways to best serve Pittsburgh communities.

Safer Together Coordinators work in the six zones throughout the city to connect residents with Public Safety resources and help strengthen relationships with first responders in their communities.

Attention Zone 1 residents!

This week's Zone 1 resident-led Public Safety Council meeting will take place this Thursday, February 5th at 6p.m. at the Mattress Factory (509 Jacksonia St) and via Zoom.

The Office of Community Health & Safety will be doing an intervention session to share resources with the community. Also, Acting Public Safety Director Sheldon Williams will be in attendance.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is hosting a Winter Clothing Drive for resolve Crisis Services.

Starting Friday, January 23rd through Saturday, February 28th, PBP will be collecting new and gently used items for those in need. Items needed include new underwear, socks, bras, and gently used gloves, scarves, and coats of all sizes.

A reminder for Zone 1 residents!

North Side residents are invited to the North Side Toy Giveaway being held on December 20 from 1-3 p.m. at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church!

🎁 If you wish to donate items, please drop off all unwrapped gifts, toys, clothes for children between the ages of newborn to 12-years-old to the Zone 1 Police Station (1501 Brighton Rd). Donations are being accepted until the end of November. All are allowed to donate items.

🎄 If you wish to participate on December 20, registration is limited and you must sign up and be a North Side resident! Please contact the Zone 1 police station at 412-323-7201 to sign up.

🎟 On December 20 between 1-3 p.m., all those who signed up should arrive at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church with your child/children. All children must be present for gift giveaways.
