It's a terrific Tuesday to announce our 🎉

Meet Isaac Place, a senior at Madison County High School in Gurley, Alabama.

He is captain of his school's swim team and very involved with his JROTC Battalion.

During his four years with Army JROTC, Place has definitely left his mark. His instructors describe Place as the "embodiment of the Servant-Leader."

He is a representative for the new Student 2 Student Club that supports military students. He was the project leader for last year's JROTC Area Beautification Project where the battalion rebuilt and painted baseball dugouts and cleaned up the high school's Veteran's display.

Place has been involved in most JROTC teams like Raiders, Leadership Bowl, Archery, Drill, and Color Guard. He was also instrumental in helping to establish the first JROTC STEM Drone team at his school.

His teammates motivate him to be a better leader.

"By seeing their motivation, it adds to mine," he said. "Also, as the Battalion Commander, the sense of duty to the job I have makes me want to achieve and out-do the former commanders."

Place has always been interested in the military, and he especially likes the hands-on learning.

After graduation, he will attend the University of North Alabama and participate in their program. He plans to receive a degree in Computer Science and serve his country as an Army Cybersecurity officer.
