Please join us in congratulating Assistant Chief David Prevatte on being selected as a 2026 NISOD Excellence Award Recipient.
Chief Prevatte's leadership has strengthened safety, innovation, and operational excellence across the college. His efforts helped secure IACLEA accreditation for the Collin College Police Department, achieve 100% state-mandated training compliance, expand technology and real-time crime center capabilities, and establish CCPD as both a Regional ALERRT Training Center and a State of Texas School Marshal Training Center. These accomplishments have enhanced the safety and success of our students, faculty, and staff while advancing the future of campus law enforcement.
Congratulations, Assistant Chief Prevatte, on this well-deserved recognition!

Today is for remembrance.
For the empty seats at family tables.
For the folded flags handed to loved ones.
For the names carved into memorials across our nation.
For every service member who gave their life so others could live freely.
This Memorial Day, the Collin College Police Department honors the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of military veterans past and present. ๐บ๐ธ

We are especially thankful this National Police Week to receive a Congressional Certificate of Recognition from Congressman Keith Self, presented on his behalf by Ms. Michelle Bishop!
Weโre also especially grateful for a poster designed by local students, a meaningful reminder of the community we serve and the future we help protect.
Thank you. ๐

โญ๏ธ National Police Week โญ๏ธ
National Police Week is a time to recognize the service, sacrifice, and commitment of law enforcement officers across the country, and especially those who serve right here at Collin College.
Our CCPD officers do more than protect our campuses. They build trust, support our students and staff, respond in moments that matter most, and help create a safe environment where our Cougar community can thrive.
This week, we also honor the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their legacy is a powerful reminder of the courage and dedication this profession requires.
To our CCPD team: thank you for your service, your professionalism, and your unwavering commitment to keeping our campuses safe.
We are proud to serve alongside you.
