This past weekend I attended the Dolphin Democrats Gala. I’m grateful for the opportunity to join community leaders committed to ensuring every young person feels safe, valued, and supported.

While we celebrate progress, we must remember that many LGBTQ+ youth still face bullying, isolation, and rejection. Studies show that LGBTQ+ youth without a trusted, supportive adult are at a much higher risk of su***de, while acceptance and support can be life-changing.

As your Broward School Board District 6 representative, I will continue working to ensure every student feels they belong, has someone they can trust, and has the opportunity to succeed.

Together, we can build a brighter future for all Broward students.

Service doesn't stop on the campaign trail.

Today, I was proud to serve with the City of Sunrise Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), working alongside the Florida Panthers, Global Empowerment Mission, Farm Share, and other community partners to help distribute free hurricane preparedness kits at Amerant Bank Arena.

One of the best parts of the day? Running into one of my fellow teachers and even a former student in line! Moments like that are a great reminder of how connected our community really is.

Preparing our families and supporting our neighbors is what strong communities do. I'm grateful to be part of a team that shows up, takes action, and helps residents get ready for hurricane season.

Started the morning at the Broward Teachers Union 5K in Hollywood. It was wonderful seeing so many friends and community leaders out in support of our schools and community. Proud dad moment, my daughter finished second in her age group! 🏃‍♀️🥈
