A Gilded Age feast with a Halloween twist. 🎃



On October 31, The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park hosts Shadows and Spirits: A Hex and Harvest Supper Club, a four-course dinner inspired by Hudson Valley harvest traditions, regional folklore, and the macabre. 🕯️

The evening starts with a “Hex on the Rocks” cocktail hour, followed by a menu featuring oysters, heirloom apples, black winter truffles, roasted duck, and tarte Tatin with beet caramel. 🍸

Between courses, guests can expect close-up conjurers, card-reading fortune-tellers, and a few secrets to unravel. 🔮

Tickets are $285 per person and include dinner, beverages, tax, and the Student Support Service Charge. 🕸️

Fenimore Art Museum has opened its new American Masterworks Gallery, a completely reimagined space bringing together extraordinary works from across the American art collection. ✨



For the first time, visitors will be able to explore a broader story of American art from 1800–1930 in one gallery, with fine art, folk art, and Native American art displayed together. 🖼️

The gallery will also feature works from the museum's recently acquired American Masterworks Collection, including artists such as Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe, John Singer Sargent, Albert Bierstadt, Frederic Edwin Church and many more. 🎨

During Printmaking on the Hudson, students start with printmaking basics (no experience needed), then enjoy creative flow time before sipping and "critiquing" their works while they dry, all in good fun. 🖼️

Along the way, learn some history about the Hudson Valley region and the old Regal Bag Factory that houses the studio. 🌾
