this is just a page that talks about cool places i've gone. i basically started making the map to remember places i really liked.

and now i think it could maybe help my friends find some cool places too! check out my website, it's actually a google map of a lot of fun places.

Poppy's Burgers and Fries, beacon, ny: one of the best burgers i've ever had, and i've had LOTS of burgers. poppy's has a super limited menu and everything we tired was perfect. i'm told by friends to try the veggie burger next time. if i can tear myself away from the grass fed meat i will. super fun and enthusiastic guy took our order and delivered our food to the little back patio, maybe poppy? idk. one thing is for sure, every time i'm in beacon i'll stop in for a burger.

Davies Hardware, poughkeepsie, ny: davies has never failed me. i will go in there with an unidentifiable piece of something and they walk me to a bin with 1000 of them. they have actual people that know about what you are doing and can help you find the tools to complete your project. i have strayed to those rt 9 stores in the past and have always regretted it. davies is an example of old school hardware stores that are disappearing. do your part to keep gems like this around, shop local.

Bib's Downtown, winston-salem, nc: when you walk in the door you are immediately greeted with southern hospitality at its finest. the menu offers traditional bbq items done right and super cheap. in two days we managed to try the ribs, brisket, smoked turkey, smoked sausage, pulled pork, hush puppies, cole slaw and mac n cheese. they were all so mouthwatering i wish they could be shipped to new york.

pancake house lake george, ny: blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries and a side of sausage. it also comes with the cutest little mason jar of blueberry yummy stuff.

pancake house, lake george, ny: after a long night in lake george, the only place to go for breakfast is the pancake house. very friendly service and the best pancakes ever will cure the even the worst hangover. lots of fun toy robots, aliens, and kitschy classics keep your eyes occupied while you barely wait for your breakfast. it's a classic fixture that i'm always happy to visit. lakegeorgepancakehouse.com

king cut prime rib at georges, lake george, ny

georges, lake george, ny: overwhelming at first with lots of people and servers bustling around. when you settle into your chair and look at your menu you are quickly distracted by trying to figure out what you are going to eat. the steaks are to die for. i'm pretty sure i cut my prime rib with my fork a few times. i'm not a salad bar person, but theirs is yummy. i try to hit georges every time i'm in lake george. if you want to go, make a reservation.
