Will you join us? 💚
On Wednesday, September 16, we’re asking our recovery community to come together and fill Poulsbo City Hall as the Mayor officially proclaims September National Recovery Month in the City of Poulsbo.
Did you know?
The City of Poulsbo operates the first city-run Recovery Café in the nation and supports the work of the North Kitsap Recovery Resource Center—an investment our city has made in recovery, connection, and the belief that people deserve opportunities to heal and build meaningful lives.
September is National Recovery Month, a time to celebrate something we at North Kitsap Recovery Cafe have the privilege of witnessing every day:
People can and do recover.
Recovery Month celebrates the people doing the work of recovery, the families and friends who walk beside them, and the communities that create places where people can find connection, belonging, support, and hope.
And we want the people who make recovery real in our community standing with us when this proclamation is read.
💚 If you are in recovery, join us.
💚 If you love someone in recovery, join us.
💚 If you work alongside people in recovery, join us.
💚 If you believe recovery is possible, join us.
Let’s fill City Hall with the living, breathing evidence that recovery is happening right here in our community.
There is power in our city publicly saying that recovery matters. There is even more power in having the people whose lives, families, and work represent recovery standing together in the room when they say it.
📅 Wednesday, September 16
📍 Poulsbo City Hall – Council Chambers
⏰ Please arrive by 5:30 p.m.
The proclamation will be read sometime between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.
Come as you are. Bring someone you love. Let’s show up for recovery. 💚
