In loving memory of Walt Wells ~ Walt was a Board Supervisor with the Calvert Soil Conservation District for 38 years, 29 of which he served as the Vice Chairman. He had been an active member since 1980 when he became an Associate Supervisor. It goes without saying that Walt was a passionate farmer. He will be truly missed. Please keep the Wells family in your prayers during this difficult time. Service arrangements are below.

Help Shape Future Oyster Reef and Shoreline Protection Projects in Calvert County!

The Calvert Soil Conservation District is gathering input from Calvert County residents, boaters, watermen, and waterfront property owners about shoreline erosion and the potential use of oyster reefs for shoreline protection.

The survey should take approximately five minutes to complete. Waterfront property owners may also request a preliminary evaluation to determine whether their shoreline could be suitable for oyster reef protection.
