Hello Prosper ISD. With the race for ISD Board Trustee Places 2 and 5 wrapping up early and Kiwi and I being named Trustee Elect without the full lifecycle of a campaign, we are going to host a Meet and Greet session next week Tuesday, April 14th at 6pm. We are still finalizing the location so standby for final details. I will create and post an event here on the page as soon as I have that wrapped up.

Looking forward to interfacing with everyone in less than a week!

I am excited to attend Monday's PISD Board of Trustees meeting! You can find the agenda on the District's website. If you review the agenda you may notice an agenda item to certify unopposed candidates for Place 2 and Place 5. Assuming it is ratified by the board's vote, the election will be canceled and Kiwi Authers and I will become Trustees Elect. I hope to see you all there!

Dear Prosper ISD Community,

Last week, when I filed to run for the Prosper ISD Board of Trustees Place 2, I anticipated a competitive race alongside several worthy opponents. As of this evening, Mr. Frensley, Mr. McMahon, and Mrs. Dixon have withdrawn their candidacies for this election. Because of this, I am honored to announce that I am now your Trustee-Elect for Place 2.

First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Mrs. Dixon for her dedicated years of service to Prosper ISD. I also want to thank Mr. Frensley and Mr. McMahon for their willingness to step up and offer to serve this community. Finally, to the friends, neighbors, and community members who offered their immediate support when I announced my campaign—thank you. Your encouragement has meant the world to me.

I set out on this journey with a clear goal: to serve our community, take care of our students and teachers, and be a strong advocate for every single stakeholder who calls Prosper ISD home. Though the campaign has ended much sooner than expected, my work is just beginning.

Over the next couple of months, I want to make myself fully available to you. In the coming days, I will be announcing plans to engage with the community, just as I had planned to do during a contested race. Whether you want to share concerns, ideas, or simply talk about topics important to your family, I want to hear from you so that I can best serve you when I officially join the school board.

I am deeply humbled by this opportunity, and it is truly an honor. I cannot wait to serve you come May.

📢 Why I’m Running: Accountability & Excellence for PISD

To my neighbors, friends, and the Prosper ISD community:

My name is Allen Rountree, and I am running for the PISD School Board, Place 2.

As a dad with a young daughter at Rucker Elementary, I have more than just an interest in our schools, I have a permanent stake in their success. My daughter will be in this district for many years to come, and like you, I want to ensure those years are defined by excellence, safety, and a board that truly represents the community's voice.

I love Prosper ISD. We would choose this district again every single day. But being a "Great District" isn't an end goal that once attained exists with permanence. Greatness requires constant maintenance and reevaluation; it’s a standard that requires constant work, transparency, and most importantly, accountability.

My Commitment to You:
• Transparency First: I’ve watched our district closely for years. We need a culture where accountability isn't a buzzword, but a requirement in every department and every decision.
• Empowering Teachers: Our educators are the backbone of our success. I will work to ensure every teacher feels valued, supported, and equipped to focus on what they do best: teaching our children.
• Student-Centered Governance: Every vote I cast will be filtered through one question: Is this in the best interest of our students?
• True Board Oversight: I am a firm believer in the fundamental structure of school governance: The Superintendent works for the Board, not the other way around. The Board’s role is to set policy and reflect the will of the community, and I will ensure that balance is respected.

We are a great district. But with the right adjustments and a renewed commitment to transparency, there is no limit to how much better we can be.

I’m not just asking for your vote; I’m asking to earn it. I look forward to meeting you at upcoming meet-and-greets, and I invite you to reach out with your questions, concerns, and ideas.

Let’s build a better PISD, together.

It was rainy, muddy, (and colder than I’d like to admit!), but the signs are finally out! 😅

I spent the morning out in the elements because I wanted to hit the ground running for this community. Just ask any Marine— we’re not afraid to get our hands dirty to get the job done. 💪

I’m ready to bring that same hands-on energy to our school board, working hard for our students, teachers, and taxpayers every single day, rain or shine.

Hopefully your Valentine’s Day was much dryer than mine! I look forward to earning your support— I’m really looking forward to the conversations ahead, hearing your priorities for our schools and sharing mine as well. Don’t worry, we’ll meet somewhere where it’s much drier! 😁

Rountree for PISD!
